What this program does
Kentucky's LGBTQ advocacy organization, founded in Louisville in 1991. Primary goal is comprehensive civil rights legislation prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Has also provided direct assistance: covering expedited passport fees to help transgender Kentuckians obtain federal ID with an accurate gender marker, covering court fees for legal name changes, and doubling the Kentucky Health Justice Network's transgender copayment fund.
