Data & interoperability

No One Left Outside keeps information about programs, the organizations that run them, and official forms and routes. Guides help people plan steps and gather documents. Where we have them, we show sources, check dates and evidence labels. A source check is separate from provider confirmation.

A checked official route needs a named source and a check date. If a guide says an agency accepts a replacement document, it must name the agency, the conditions, and the source. Missing support stays UNKNOWN.

No One Left Outside covers Kentucky and Indiana statewide. Coverage varies by place and type of help and may be incomplete. Research files may cover more areas than the public directory. A research record is not a published listing.

Journey and route counts can be re-derived from the source repository at any time. If a figure matters to your work, ask for it with the derivation attached rather than taking a number from a slide.

Category counts count published program listings linked to each category, using the directory publication rules. They do not count unique providers. A program can belong to more than one category, so category counts cannot be added to get a directory total. Search counts describe the matching listings for the selected filters. A map may show a smaller set, as its limit notice explains. Counts can change as listings change and do not show openings, available funding, or how many people received help.

The status labels, the evidence labels, and the rules governing when a record may be published are documented in full on Methodology & trust. Checks apply to named fields, methods, and dates. They are not a badge for an entire organization. When sources disagree, that conflict needs review.
