What taking part involves

Seven things, stated before you decide rather than after. They apply whether you use the tools once or stay involved for a year.

Nothing you send publishes on its own: A correction, a flag, or a note enters a human review queue. A reviewer compares the claim against evidence. Conflicts and unknowns stay visible on the site until evidence supports a change — being told something is not the same as being able to publish it.
You are not the database maintainer: Flag what you happen to notice. There is no quota, no queue assigned to you, and no expectation that you keep anything current. If you stop, nothing breaks.
You get an answer back: When you flag something specific, NOLO researches it and writes back with what it found — including when the answer is that nothing could be confirmed. Reporting into silence is why most feedback channels die.
Never send client information: No names, dates of birth, case numbers, health details, or legal narratives about the people you support. If a report needs an example, describe the route that failed, not the person it failed. NOLO will delete client information it receives and tell you it did.
Participation is not a credential or a relationship: Taking part is not employment, certification, endorsement, accreditation, supervision, or a partnership between NOLO and your employer, and it does not make you a NOLO representative. Nothing here changes your obligations to your own organisation.
NOLO does not promise outcomes: Eligibility, availability, acceptance, placement, and timing are decided by the organisations that run those programmes. NOLO shows what a source said and when it was checked. It is not emergency services and does not replace coordinated entry, 211, HMIS, or your agency's protocols.
You can stop at any time: Reply to any message and ask to be removed. It happens without a reason being requested. Anything you have already contributed to the public record stays part of the evidence trail, because a source check cannot be un-checked, but it is not attributed to you unless you asked for credit.
