What these tools do with what you type

This note covers the frontline tools specifically. The site-wide privacy policy covers everything else, including the aggregate measurement the rest of the site uses and how to switch it off.

These pages are not measured

No analytics event of any kind is recorded on the frontline pages — not a page view, not a print, not a submission. The events do not exist in NOLO’s analytics contract, so there is no setting to get wrong and nothing to switch back on by accident. If that changes, it will be written here before it is built, not after.

The one-fill worksheet

What NOLO does: the answers you type are held in the page while you use it. NOLO does not save them, does not send them to a server, and keeps no copy — no request carries them anywhere. The Clear answers control wipes them from the page.

What NOLO cannot control, and will not pretend to: your browser may keep autofill entries or form history; the page may sit in a browser cache; printing can leave a copy in a print queue or spool file; and a saved PDF stays wherever it was saved. On a shared or work computer, clear the answers when you finish and collect anything you print. A web page cannot reach into any of those places, so no wording here will claim it does.

NOLO does not accept Social Security numbers, claim numbers, or other government identifiers as typed input at all. They print as blank lines for you to write on the agency’s own form.

Microchecks

A microcheck is stored, because a review queue is the point of it. What gets stored is what you selected: a resource identity resolved from a current public NOLO listing, the field you tested, the outcome, the date, and any source link — plus a short factual value if you added one. The wording sent to the reviewer is composed by NOLO from those selections; there is no typed resource name or narrative box.

Never include anything about a person you were helping. Automated screening rejects common personal and case-data patterns in the short factual value, but it can miss sensitive details. A reviewer must check every submission before using it. Submissions enter the same human review queue as any other correction: nothing you send edits or publishes a resource, and a reviewer decides what changes.

At submission, every check is recorded as frontline use observed. An attached link is only a source candidate; a reviewer may separately verify the exact claim against an official source. The submission itself can never become provider confirmed — only the organisation itself can confirm its own details, through a separate authenticated route.

The caseload board

Not available in this release. When it ships, rows will be written to your browser’s local storage on your own device and nowhere else. Storing caseloads on our servers and stripping identifying details on arrival was considered and rejected: scrubbing after receipt still means the service received information linked to a client, and we would rather be unable to see a caseload than promise to forget one.

Reaching a person

For access, correction, or deletion of anything you have sent us, write to dustin@nooneleftoutside.org. Ask to be removed and you will be, without being asked why.
