Your child care help is ending in Indiana

Read the notice, call your eligibility office or the Child Care Support Line, and ask about an appeal.

  1. Step 1: Read the notice

The state manual says families and providers get written notice before many adverse actions. Find the reason and the date on your notice.

  2. Step 2: Call for help

Contact your local eligibility office, or call the OECOSL Child Care Support Line at 1-800-299-1627.

  3. Step 3: Ask about an appeal in writing

The state appeal form says to send a written appeal "Within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the Adverse Action Letter." The state manual counts from the termination or denial date. Check the notice or call to confirm.

  4. Step 4: Ask about care during an appeal

The state manual says care during an appeal is not paid after the notice period. Ask your eligibility office before you keep using care.

  5. Step 5: Ask about transitional care

If your job, school or training ended, ask the eligibility office about transitional care.
