I need a ride to a medical appointment

Who qualifies

  • For fee-for-service Indiana Health Coverage Programs members, most non-emergency medical transportation is brokered through Verida.

    Official source

  • If you are in Healthy Indiana Plan, Hoosier Care Connect, Hoosier Healthwise, or PathWays, the ride stays with your managed care plan's designated contractor.

    Official source

  • Verida says it arranges rides for Indiana fee-for-service Medicaid members who need a ride to a Medicaid-billable appointment and have no other way to get there.

    Official source

  • The same Verida page also says Verida arranges transportation for all FSSA members living in Indiana.

    Official source

  • Whether that includes managed-care members is not confirmed yet. The contractor's name and phone for Healthy Indiana Plan, Hoosier Care Connect, Hoosier Healthwise, and PathWays are not confirmed yet.

  • Advanced life support and basic life support ambulance rides are not booked through the fee-for-service broker. Arrange those with the transportation provider.
